About Us

Founded in 1968,  the Fargo-Moorhead Opera Company continues to strive to provide high quality opera experiences for any and all members of our community and region.

The current programs of the FMO include two fully-staged opera productions – one in the fall and one in the spring. The company also offers education and outreach activities throughout the region geared to introduce the art form to K-12 students and adults. 

We are proud to be the only professional opera company between Minneapolis and Billings going east and west; and Omaha and Winnipeg going north and south. We are especially proud of the fact Fargo Moorhead is the smallest city in America to support a professional opera company.
